HISTORY OF THIS PICTURE: Friend and hunting companion of post photographer Huffman, this Cheyenne Scout was photographed at Fort Keogh, Montana Territory in 1879. One of Huffman's finest portraits, it captures the beauty, dignity and sense of self-worth that is so often found in his photographic portraits of the Plains Indians. Red Sleeve was killed by lightning not long after this picture was taken while on patrol with the newly formed Indian Police.
ONE-OF-A-KIND: Every copy of this picture ordered from us will be individually hand-made and will in some small way be different from every other print made even though multiples may be produced from the same negative. The artistic and historical value of this photograph will endure for years to come.
PRICES AND ORDERING: Prices range from $60.00 for an 8x10 to $190.00 for a 20x24. Two labels, printed on crack n' peel paper, are included with each photo.
